Spring Woods Safari Players Present...

 Not Fit to Print

Idealistic all-American journalism student Ida Perry has been offered a prestigious internship by her famous college professor, but the bottom falls out of her dream. The news from her parents is very bad. Her father has been laid off from his job and Ida not only has to pay her own way through college but she must contribute to the need at home. The only part-time job she can get is working for the cheesy/sleazy Metro Inquirer, probably the most scandalous newspaper in history. "Man Eats Own Face" is her first example of a headline as another reporter greets her with, "How do you spell lascivious?" But never underestimate the power of a bright girl caught between a rock and a hard place. She becomes as much a surprise to the Metro Inquirer as it is to her.

William Gleason is also the author of The Clumsy Custard Horror Show, last year’s fall play.

 Children of Eden

Children of Eden is a musical play with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz  and a book by John Caird.  The musical is based on the Book of Genesis.  Act I tells the story of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel and Act II tells the story Noah and the Flood.

Spring Woods Theatre is producing Children of Eden in Dual Language: English and American Sign Language.

The show's publisher, Music Theater International,  reports that Children of Eden is one of its top 20 most frequently licensed properties  which is very unusual for a show that has never had a Broadway or Off-Broadway  run. Emotional Lyrics, beautiful songs and the universal themes of family, love, greed, anger, and understanding make this a must see production.

ComedySportz High School League

A fun, fast-paced comedy show that's great for the entire family. Fashioned after the nation-wide professional ComedySportz format, the matches are improvisational comedy played as a sport.

What would a fan expect at a ComedySportz High School League match? The National Anthem is played, then two teams go wit to wit for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs on the spot. The audience votes for the winners and a referee, complete with zebra stripes and a whistle, calls the fouls.
