UPCOMING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

Parents and Students,

Make sure you are keeping up with the Junior Checklist!  It's important to stay on top of these key events.  Make sure that you are registered to take either the SAT or ACT.  Keep in mind that you can begin applying for college on August 1, 2013.  Below you will find a link that gives you the prompts for your college essays.  This sheet includes the prompts for Apply Texas and The Common Application. 

If you are in Collegiate Challenge, the summer responsibility sheet is listed.  Make sure that you are keeping in contact with your mentor. 

 Also, check out the different summer programs that are available.  There are 2 links below to the University of Houston and the University of Texas at Austin for their Business summer programs.  There is also a summer program at Rice University.  It is hosted by the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies and will focus on Content, College and Careers.  It is the C3 summer program.  The registration form is listed below. Texas A&M is hosting Passport to Aggieland in July.  The link below will take you to the website and if you need forms you can come by and see Ms. Lynch to pick them up.  The deadlines for these events are coming up, so if you are interested, you need to register ASAP.
