Dropout Prevention Coordinator/ESL Parent Liaison
Hello ESL students and parents of Spring Woods High School. My name is Wadey Yaya and I work with the current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade LEP students currently in the ESL program. My responsibilities include working to decrease the number of dropout students on our campus.
I work with a wonderful administration, faculty and staff that collaboratively works with me in supporting our LEP students to academically and emotionally be successful throughout their time in high school, and prepare them for a postsecondary education.
LEP students in the program have the opportunities to go on job shadowing experiences, college visits, receive specific tutorial sessions, receive one-on-one academic information, attend leadership workshops, receive mentorship and much more.
Also, the Parent Center is a place where not only students, but parents, can come, obtain resources and ask questions, in English and Spanish, that will provide you the information needed to guide your child through a very important time in their academic and social lives.

Hola estudiantes y padres del programa de ESL de Spring Woods High School. Mi nombre es Wadey Yaya y yo trabajo con los estudiantes LEP del programa de ESL. Mis responsabilidades incluyen el trabajo para disminuir el número de estudiantes de deserción escolar en nuestro campus.
Yo trabajo con una administración, facultad, y personal maravillosa que trabaja en colaboración conmigo en apoyar a nuestros estudiantes LEP académica y emocionalmente a tener éxito a lo largo de su tiempo en la escuela secundaria, y prepararlos para la educación postsecundaria.
Estudiantes en el programa ESL tienen la posibilidad de seguir experiencias profesionales, visitas a la universidad, recibir sesiones específicas de tutoría, recibir uno a uno el apoyo académico, asistir a talleres de liderazgo, y mucho más.
Además, el Centro de Padres es un lugar donde no sólo los estudiantes, pero los padres, pueden venir, obtener recursos y hacer preguntas, en Inglés y Español, que le proporcionará la información necesaria para guiar a su hijo por un momento muy importante en su vida académica y social.
